The community at Lakeside Park is designed to be like home,
while providing security and simplicity so important for the
residents’ health and well being.
In a typical floor plan, six to eight residents comprise
a “neighborhood,” each with their own comfortable
bedroom (and private bath) that opens onto a living room shared
by all. This design strategy replaces long, hospital-like
corridors with the hallmarks of a familiar, family environment.
We encourage families to decorate the resident’s room
with familiar furniture, knick-knacks, hobby items,
artwork, and family pictures.
Lakeside Park maintains a secured environment while offering many opportunities to experience the touchstones of everyday life, such as watching children play in nearby Lake Merritt Park or taking a stroll outside in a gated patio and garden.
