Lakeside Park is a community dedicated to
caring for the special needs of individuals living with
Alzheimer’s disease and related memory disorders.
Staff members are specially trained to provide emotional
support, recognize and meet individual requirements, and
address cognitive challenges often associated with memory
loss.
Amenities include the following:
- Individual private rooms with private bathrooms, or shared
rooms with private baths
- Unique design that allows residents to live in small,
home-like neighborhoods with six to eight residents
- Activity areas, lounges, and patios available for residents
to enjoy individually or with larger groups
- Secured environment ensuring residents can only leave
the community with authorized staff, family or responsible
individuals
- State-of-the-art monitoring system where staff can safely
supervise residents without interfering with their need
to walk or keep moving
- Located within walking distance of Lake Merritt where
residents can enjoy and engage in the activities of the
park such as the children, the ducks, and the many people
who walk around the lake; outdoor activities scheduled with
staff supervision
- Ample parking on ground level within the building for
families and visitors
- Family support resources offering current educational
and resource information on memory-related illnesses
Care Services
Our comprehensive resident care services include the following
all for one, inclusive, monthly fee:
- Personal assistance with dressing, showering or bathing,
hair care, shaving, and any other personal hygiene needs
- Medication Management including ordering, storing and
dispensing medication in coordination with the resident’s
physician
- Daily housekeeping and laundry/linen service, as needed,
including all personal laundry
- Dining service, which includes three meals and snacks,
custom designed to meet special needs of the residents
- Escort service to and from the dining room, activities,
and social programs
- Transportation to medical appointments and scheduled
outings
- Individual and group activities designed for the residents'
specific needs and interests. Our program recognizes each
resident’s interests can change frequently throughout
the day, therefore, our staff responds by offering a varied
program each hour
- 24-hour staff who are specially trained to interact,
engage, and care for individuals with Alzheimer’s
or other memory impairments
