Activities

Daily activities are led by Program Directors who have the talent, skill, creativity, and compassion to develop and implement programs for seniors with cognitive decline. Professional teachers enhance our programs working with our residents in small or large groups.

Our activities are designed for our residents’ tastes and interests, combining memory enhancement, physical, and social activities. We read the newspaper headlines, discuss “this day in history,” play trivia, and do crossword puzzles to support cognitive vitality.

Seated exercise, walks to Lake Merritt to enjoy the outdoors, chair basketball, gardening, and visits to our patio encourage residents to move about daily. For residents with restricted mobility, the staff escorts them to and from programs.

Social programs include live music, dancing, entertainers, ZooMobile, Family Days, and visits from groups of children. Holiday celebrations, tea parties complete with fancy hats, and birthday parties round out our social calendar.

Come join us for a morning of activities!
